We present a new tourism project, which is the result of cooperation between "Rosneft" and the Ministry of Economic Development, Investment, Tourism and External Relations of the Orenburg region.

Orenburg region is more than just steppes! This is a land where contrasts, history and the incredible beauty of nature are intertwined. The regional government is actively working on the development of tourism, making unique places more accessible and attractive to everyone.

Special attention is paid to the development of autotourism – the opportunity to explore Orenburg region in your own car, feeling the full power and charm of this region.

Samara-Orenburg route "Ural Wind" is a comfortable journey thanks to the developed roadside infrastructure. "Rosneft" and "Bashneft" gas stations are modern and reliable throughout the area, ready to provide your car with everything you need.

First location: Peoples' Friendship Park

    

This is an architectural ensemble of 20 courtyards dedicated to ethnic groups living in the Samara region.

The park is unique, its area is 12 hectares. Each courtyard is allocated 500 square meters. Inside the houses there are mostly antique items of clothing and household items collected from all over Russia. There are also recreated replicas of things that are as similar as possible to the originals. Here you can get acquainted with the history of your native land, the history of the country, examples of labor and military exploits of the multinational people of Russia.

The second location: "Barinovskaya Mill" Ecopark

In July 2023, after the restoration, the only wooden windmill in the Samara region was launched. It was built in Barinovka in 1848. The mill was last operational in the 1980s.

Now the mill yard is part of the eco–park "Barinovskaya mill". It looks like new. In fact, the frame is original. Inside there is a part of the mechanism – a vertical shaft that starts the millstones. He is 175 years old.

And here you can see how flour used to be ground, visit the miller's house, feel like his assistants and fully feel the smell of freshly baked bread according to ancient recipes.

The third location: The Church of the Holy Trinity

The old building is located in the very center of the village. The church is notable for the fact that its vaults were painted by a resident of Utevka, a unique painter Grigory Zhuravlev. He held the brush with his teeth because he was born without legs and arms. While working, Grigory Zhuravlev was lifted to the dome in a special cradle, he clamped his brush between his teeth and wrote.

In the 1930s, the authorities decided to destroy the bell tower of the church. They tried to blow up the temple itself, but it survived. Today, the temple is being restored according to the "Historical Memory" project. Fortunately, during the years of Soviet rule, the murals and murals of Zhuravlev were not destroyed, they disappeared behind the plaster. They will soon be restored to their original form, but first the restoration will affect the temple itself.

The fourth location: The Museum of Local Lore in the city of Neftegorsk

The main fund of the museum is 2,417 items, and the scientific and auxiliary fund is 1,424 items. The museum's collections contain objects of numismatics, everyday life and ethnography of the Samara region.

The museum hosts guided tours, interactive games, cultural and leisure activities, and thematic talks.The retro """"Old Apartment"" and the permanent exhibition "The Tree of Life" and "Journey into the Bowels of the Earth" attract visitors of all ages.

Orenburg region

First location: "Buzuluksky Bor" National Park

The age of the largest relict forest in steppe Eurasia is about 10 thousand years old. This is the only place on the planet where an extensive 300-400-year-old pine forest has been preserved. Here you can even find gigantic pines over four meters in circumference! There are organized recreation areas on the territory of the national park, where you can have a great weekend. The second location: a natural monument "Ataman Mountain"

You can enjoy the picturesque views of the Samara River, floodplain forests and the town of Buzuluk from the Ataman Mountain.The historical complex of the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Buzuluk Monastery is located nearby. In the 18th century, there was a large oak grove under Ataman Mountain, where bears and other wild animals lived. The oaks were cut down for the construction of the fortress. The lands were in the Cossack department, which is probably why the mountain was named Ataman. According to local legends, here, in one of the caves, there was a gang of robbers who, led by their chieftain, robbed merchants, however, this version is not confirmed by historical research. A small underground man-made passage on one of the slopes is known to local historians, but, in their opinion, an Orthodox ascetic lived there. The third location: "Holy Caves"

   

They are located on the territory of the Nikolsky Convent in the village of Pokrovka, Novosergievsky district. This is a unique place not only for the Orenburg region, but for the whole of Russia.

The history of the Holy Caves began at the end of the 19th century. In 1896, the first minister settled here, dug a small cave with a cell and built a spring under the mountain. After that, a community begins to form around him, and brothers from local pious residents gather. The main business of the brethren was the digging of caves like the Kiev Caves. Over time, the caves went deep into the mountain, forming branched passages connected by circular passages. In 1913, by Decree of the Holy Synod, the skete became the Nikolsky Monastery.

The fourth location: The Governor's Museum of Local Lore

Orenburg Governor""Sarmatian Museum of Local Lore, where the expositions "Golden Storeroom" and "Archaeological finds of the Orenburg Steppes" contain a unique collection of Sarmatian treasures, including weapons, jewelry and household items.

The Sarmatian Deer sculpture is a modern symbol of the city, recreated from ancient archaeological finds, symbolizing the deer sacred to the Sarmatians.

Fifth location: Hermitage-Eurasia

On September 5, 2024, the "Hermitage-Eurasia" Center opened in Orenburg, which became the fifth satellite center of the State Hermitage Museum.

The center is located in the building of the Orenburg Regional Museum of Fine Arts.

The jasper room is the highlight of the Center, the only one in the world created by Orenburg craftsmen from the picturesque Orsk jasper. There are 9 stone panels on the walls with a total area of 75 m2.

Sixth location: Rostropovich House Museum

The only museum in Russia dedicated to the life and work of Mstislav Rostropovich and his family. The Memorial Museum is located in the building where, during the war years, married musicians Leopold Rostropovich and Sofia Fedotova lived with their children Veronika and Mstislav.

The main highlight of the Museum House is a believable hologram of Mstislav Rostropovich performing Cello Suite No. 1 by Johann Sebastian Bach! In addition to the three halls, the museum also includes a workshop and a carriage house.

Every weekend there is live music performed by professional Orenburg artists and students of the Institute, which is named after the musician's family — the Orenburg State Institute of Arts named after L. and M. Rostropovich.
