Description

The main activities of the museum are the preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of the region, the patriotic education of citizens, the development and implementation of new forms of work with children using modern technologies.

For various reasons, the museum practically did not work for several years, interesting collections were lost, and museum documentation was not preserved.

At the initiative of the district administration and the head of the district Department of culture, V.A. Tuisina, it was decided to provide the museum with a new building – the first floor of a new secondary school. The basis for the construction was a special project, taking into account the storage facilities, exhibition, exposition and lecture halls.

The exposition, reflecting the history of the district, was created by a creative group of employees of the regional Museum of Local Lore under the leadership of the director of the museum, N.A. Eremina, Candidate of Historical Sciences, together with employees of the Sol-Iletsk Museum.

The new museum opened on June 12, 2008. The history of the salt industry occupies a significant place in the exhibition.

The museum carries out work on the patriotic education of children and adolescents in cooperation with the Council of Veterans and the Department of Education, implements a cultural and educational program (2009-2013) "Museum opportunities in exploring the native land."

The museum's collection includes 3,987 items.
