Description

To mark the 60th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, an open-air exhibition complex "Salute, Victory!" was created in Orenburg.

The project of the exhibition complex was developed by the Orenburg Gubernatorial Museum of Local Lore (authors N.A. Eremina, N.M. Plyasheshnik).

The exhibition presents more than 60 samples of weapons, military, agricultural, automotive, and railway equipment, and industrial equipment.

Military equipment is presented in all its diversity: airplanes, tanks, artillery pieces – 19 units of authentic military historical monuments of the Great Patriotic War.

The collection of military equipment is located in the park on an area of about four hectares in sectors dedicated to the most important events and battles: the Battles of Moscow, Stalingrad, Kursk, the crossing of the Dnieper, etc.

A red thread runs through the entire exposition along the combat paths of 15 divisions formed on the Orenburg land from residents of towns and villages of the region.

The "Rear to the Front" exhibition sector adequately reflects the contribution of the Orenburg region to the Great Victory. Factory equipment and machines were installed in the covered pavilion, on which metal was melted, cartridges and shells were made for the front. There is a military ambulance train carriage next to the workshop.
