Many people are wondering about the origin of this name. That's what the local legend says.
An old bai had three daughters. He successfully married two of them, but the youngest, named Bicket, was stubborn. One day, he decided to marry her off to a rich man from another village. He had huge meadows, flocks of sheep and herds of horses. But he wasn't very young. The daughter began to resist, a terrible scandal broke out! They had already given kalym for the bride, they were preparing for the wedding. And the reason turned out to be that the girl fell in love with a guy named Bazar from a neighboring village. He worked as a shepherd for a rich bai! He was different from everyone else in strength and agility. His black eyes looked into his soul. How could young Bicket not love him?
This annoyed bai, he ordered his servants to beat the boy! But he deftly ran away from the attackers. Then Bai decided to sell the Bazaar to another village, so as not to get in the way! But that was not the case... the bazaar and the beautiful Biket escaped. A few days have passed. Our fugitives lived in anxiety all this time. The young man understood that Bai's assistants would find them someday, they wouldn't be together anyway, they were too different! He saw that Biket was used to comfort, to a rich yurt and hearty feasts. But what can life with a shepherd give her?
One day, the young people heard the sound of hooves near the lake, realized that it was behind them. Biket and Bazar ran to a high cliff above the river and, looking into each other's eyes, holding hands, jumped down into eternity.… So they became part of the lake, which was later named Bazar-Biket. Blizzards howl above it in winter, and in summer tulips decorate the shores. Now lovers always admire this beauty together!
Bazar Biket Lake is located in the floodplain of the Or River. There is a hill of the same name next to it. Residents of the village of Ashchebutak often come here, as the lake is just around the corner. Admiring the beauty of their native places, one of them composed a legend about the love of Biket and the Bazaar, which explains the history of the lake's name. It's nice to swim in the lake on a hot summer day. It is about five meters deep and 70 meters wide.
