Description

Anichkin Bridge, also called —Yekaterininsky" Bridge, is located on the Orenburg-Sol-Iletsk highway, next to the Ekaterina cafe. The bridge was created during the construction of a road for the removal of salt from the mine. The bridge is made of rubble stone from the Mayachny quarry. According to legend, Catherine the Great passed over this bridge, however, this is doubtful, since the bridge was built from 1820 to 1825, which is more than 20 years after the death of the Empress.

The bridge is a monument of history and architecture, therefore it is protected by law. "Russian Rebellion" bridge was restored in the 90s for filming in Alexander Proshkin's film. Proshkin also shot this bridge in his other film, "Trio," starring Andrei Panin, Mikhail Porechenkov and Maria Zvonareva.
