Description
A monument to Ivan Kirillovich Kirilov, a Russian scientist and statesman, associate of Peter the Great, founder of Buzuluk, has been erected in Troitskiy Park. The issue of the monument's construction was put to a popular vote on September 14, 2014, and the ceremonial laying of the stone at the site of its installation took place on June 12, 2015. The monument was designed by Orenburg sculptor Alexander Borisovich Emaev.: its height is 3.75 meters, and the production took three tons of bronze. Ivan Kirilov is depicted in a hiking suit — in his hands he holds a telescope and a privilege to Orenburg with the signature of Empress Anna Ioannovna.
