Coinage is one of the most ancient types of metalworking known to mankind, dating back to the Bronze Age, when craftsmen hand–applied patterns to coins, jewelry and weapons using hammers and stamps.
At the event, participants will get acquainted with the history and technique of coinage, learn how jewelry and toys were created in past eras, and make a decorative element from a metal billet with their own hands. Participants will master basic techniques: fixing metal, applying patterns and carefully knocking out the relief using special tools.
