October 5th

Saraktash, Elevator/Factory, 1/4

Success at the front depended not only on the courage of the soldiers, weapons and military equipment, but also the most important factor was the organization of the soldier's life. How did a soldier live at the front, in what conditions did he fight, freeze or was shod, dressed, warmed up, what did he do in short breaks between battles… During the event, visitors will be introduced to the peculiarities of the life of the Red Army during the Great Patriotic War.

Visitors will be told and shown a set of necessary items from the museum's collections that accompany a soldier during his combat journey – from the arrival of a recruit at the barracks, to the ability to properly fold a soldier's backpack, roll up a greatcoat, and maintain combat equipment.
