The participants of the event will embark on an exciting journey through the ages to find out how our ancestors created this irreplaceable household item. The students will trace the entire history of the spoon's development: from the first clay and bone products to elegant wooden creations.
They will learn about how craftsmen turned ordinary wood into real works of art, decorating them with intricate patterns, varnishing them and firing them in an oven. They will learn a lot of secrets: what were wooden spoons used for, except for food? It turns out that they were not only personal cutlery, but also participants in ancient games and even predictions! They will also hear how these wooden wonders could sound, turning into a musical instrument that emits clear and melodious sounds.
And the most interesting things are ahead! Every child can feel like a real artist and craftsman by picking up a wooden spoon and painting it in the traditional Khokhloma style using bright black, red, yellow and green paints.
