Description
The statue of a worker reading a newspaper at the entrance to the Orenburg Regional Museum of Fine Arts (Kashirin Lane, 29) is indeed a work of art. Its author is the sculptor Sulamith Israilevna Anbinder. ""Young Worker" (the second name is "During a break"), made of plaster, she presented at the republican art exhibition "Soviet Russia" in Moscow in 1960. Subsequently, by decision of the Ministry of Culture of the RSFSR, the sculpture was cast in metal and transferred to Orenburg. Initially, it was located in front of the entrance to the art museum, which was located on the side of "Pravda" Street. A young man reading a newspaper, located on the street named after the newspaper "Pravda" – it was very symbolic. Now this semantic component has been lost.
