Description
The Orenburg Puppet Theater was born in 1935. He has a great story. The band has repeatedly toured in Moscow, shown performances throughout Russia, and repeatedly presented the art of puppet theater in the near and far abroad. Children from Hungary and Poland, France and Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Peru and Israel applauded the performances of Orenburg puppeteers.
The troupe is based on students of the People's Artist of the Russian Federation R. Rents and graduates of the Nizhny Novgorod Theater School named after E. Evstigneev. Since 2007, the main director, and since 2014 the artistic director of the theater, is the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation V. Smirnov. The band is actively expanding the boundaries of touring and festival activities, replenishing the repertoire with new performances for children and adults. In recent years alone, the theater has participated in international puppet theater festivals in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Kazan and Dushanbe, Omsk, Aktobe, Kirov, Chelyabinsk, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod and other cities.
Since 2014, the Orenburg Puppet Theater has been holding a festival with performances for young people and adults "Gostiny Dvor" once every three years. Today, the playbill of the theater has more than 40 productions for children and adults. Critics note the ensemble nature of the performances, the high plastic culture, and the actors' ability to work in different stylistic manners.
