Description
The Orenburg State Regional Musical Comedy Theater is the largest and only musical theater in the region. It was created on the basis of the Vinnytsia Musical Comedy Theater and on December 30, 1936, it opened its first season with the premiere of the play "The Slave".
The theater continues to develop and experiment with the choice of genres, dramatic material, choreographic solutions, tirelessly works on the quality of orchestral sound and the embodiment of original ideas of scenic design. Today, even the most discerning audience will be able to find for themselves what suits their mood and worldview: classical operettas and works by modern Russian composers. Many artists are already laureates and diploma holders of international and Russian competitions, scholarship holders of state prizes for creative youth from the Union of Theatrical Figures of Russia. About 80 thousand spectators attend the performances annually.
