Description
Imagine this: on May 6, 2013, Bishop Irinej of Orsk and Gais consecrated the foundation stone of the convent. A year later, a huge structure was erected on a former wasteland of about a hectare, and on August 1, 2014, the first Liturgy was held in one of the churches dedicated to St. Mary of Egypt.
By this time, the bishop had completed several monastic tonsures, and soon a full-blooded monastic life began within the walls of the monastery under the guidance of the confessor of the previously formed community, Archpriest Sergius Baranov.
