We are proud to say that the greatest maestro, truly on a global scale, lived in Orenburg., He loved our city and considered it his homeland. His homeland, thanks to which he became one of the most talented
and the most wonderful musicians of the turn of the XX and XXI centuries.
The Rostropovich Family House Museum is the only museum in Russia dedicated to his life and work.
the outstanding cellist, conductor and philanthropist Mstislav Rostropovich and his family.
He is located in Orenburg, in a house where he lived with his parents and sister during the Great Patriotic War. The future maestro lived with Veronica. It is a department of the Orenburg Regional Museum of Fine Arts.
In the individual program at the Rostropovich House Museum, you will find the amazing story of this family, an interactive introduction to the maestro's work, as well as an incredible musical evening of cello and piano on an individual order.
You will find out what young Slava did in his spare time from music, as well as about his favorite dishes and you will have the opportunity to treat yourself to his favorite desserts.
