Description
Before our eyes, as the city grows, the remnants of its antiquity disappear from the scene, yielding to the pressure of new life.
The rampart of the famous Orenburg Fortress has almost completely disappeared, two pieces of which still stick out against the building of the former theological seminary and in front of the Stadium square, the guardhouse at the fortress Orsky Gate and the supply barracks on Chernorechenskaya Street have been dismantled into bricks.
There is no reason to regret that the old has been scrapped, but we need to somehow fix the monuments of bygone life and history, which give us instructive lessons.
On the tour you will learn: why the city was conceived three times and born once; what survived the great fire in Orenburg; trace the thread of the historical flourishing of the Orenburg province from the foundation of the fortress to the present day. Visit the mock-up of the fortress city in the museum of the city's history.
