The Orenburg Tourist Information Center is located in a pedestrian zone in the city center, and is well known to both visitors and locals as "Souvenirs of Orenburg" due to the full range of souvenirs, books, maps, atlases, and postcards about the city and region collected here. The TIC provides information about what can be seen in the city, about organizations and individuals engaged in sightseeing activities. The staff of the center will answer the main questions about the history of the city and tell you what you need to see in Orenburg. The arch itself, leading to the information center, has long been a favorite motif for photographing tourists and citizens – thanks to the decoration: on the walls there is a "short course" of the history of Orenburg, a plan diagram of the central part of the city with the main attractions, a map of the Orenburg region with adjacent territories and the main tourist sites of the region. Songs of Orenburg performers are constantly playing in the arch. There is an information panel above the entrance to the arch, indicating directions and approximate distances to the nearest attractions, to the main post office, train station, as well as providing historical information about this place. The panel displays information about major citywide events (film festivals, youth events, etc. forums). The "Passport" project of the Guest of the capital of the Orenburg region has been working in the Orenburg TIC for five years, bringing together eight museums and interesting places of the city, visiting which and receiving a "visa" in the passport, the holder of the document receives a substantial book prize at the center. Guidebooks for Orenburg and the resort city of Sol-Iletsk have been developed.
