Description
Yuri Entin's concert jacket and Harry Bardin's portrait by Nikas Safronov, a bronze by Ernst Neizvestny and manuscripts by Vladimir Makanin — amazing exhibits are collected bit by bit in the Gallery of Outstanding Orenburg residents "Our People". The museum project of the Orenburg Charity Fund "Eurasia" is the winner of the grant from the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society. 30 celebrities directly connected with Orenburg region are represented here on an area of 56 square meters.
These are the leaders of our state Georgy Malenkov and Viktor Chernomyrdin, theater and film actors Georgy Martynyuk, Viktor Bortsov, Lev Durov, Maya Polyanskaya, Vladimir Uralsky, writers Vladimir Makanin, Julian Semenov, and the Strugatsky brothers.… The gallery features artists Vladimir Kibalchich and Sergey Kalmykov, anti-fascist heroes Musa Jalil and Alexander Shmorel, screenwriters Alexey Samoryadov and Vladimir Kunin, popular performers like Yuri Shatunov and composers Jan Frenkel, Solovyov-Sedoy. Almost every one of the three dozen outstanding people in the exhibition has original documents, photographs, and objects.
Over the two decades of the "Eurasia" Foundation's work, unique biographical collections have been collected. Multiple prize-winner of international steel bending competitions (in the USA) especially for the Orenburg Gallery Ivan Vankovich from Vyborg tied a thick steel rod according to the pattern known from the British photographs of Alexander Zass of the 1930s. Georgy Malenkov's son sent a portrait of his father, made in China on silk… ""Remington portable typewriter" from 1924, from Germany — it was on this type that the antifascist students from the "White Rose" printed their flyers. And the poster of the movie "The Moabite Notebook" about Jalil was obtained from Kazan. The rarity has been around for more than half a century. The authentic etching by the Mexican Kibalcic is here adjacent to the original poster "The Young Guard" with the participation of theater and film actor Vladimir Uralsky. Admission to the museum is free.
