The first money appeared many centuries ago. With the development of trade, new payment methods have emerged, and each country has its own unique means. Participants of the museum lesson will learn how money originated in Ancient Russia.
In addition, they will get acquainted with the exposition dedicated to numismatics and bonistics. The exhibition is based on more than 50 real coins and banknotes from museum collections, as well as rare specimens from a private collection. A complete collection of Soviet rubles made of base metals deserves special attention. It allows us to trace how the evolution of coinage reflected historical events and the change of epochs.
