Description
Bukobaysky Yary is a geological and geomorphological natural monument located in the Sol-Iletsky district of the Orenburg region on the right bank of the Bukobayka River. A place of power where people come for solitude, tranquility and truly mystical views.
The age of the Bukobaiskiye Yarov is about 201 million years old. Researchers attribute the beginning of the appearance of sediments to the Triassic period of the Mesozoic era (between the Permian and Jurassic periods).
In appearance, the Bukbai yars resemble huge mushrooms, and the diameter of the caps reaches from 50 to 90 cm. The ancient natural ensemble covers an area of about 136 hectares.
The rounded shapes of the sandstones were obtained as a result of weathering. The surface of the huge balls is covered with patterns in the form of many ornate stripes.
Archaeologists have found unique artifacts in the sandstones of the Bukobai Yars: bones of vertebrates (the ancestors of the crocodile) and plant remains. This is proof that these lands were once covered by the waters of an ancient ocean.
Bukobai yary is considered a place of power, where people come to achieve meditative states and to conduct spiritual practices.
