The park was named after Pyotr Alexandrovich Persiyanov, the first chairman of the city Council of Workers' and Soldiers' Deputies. He grew up in Iletsk, where his father worked at a salt mine. Previously, there was a Hay trading area on this territory, where there were shops, Cossacks traded hay here, and Kazakhs — cattle. Today, the park has become a favorite vacation spot in the city. In summer, there are attractions, children's play areas (trampolines, shooting galleries, a panic room), retail outlets and a musical fountain.
The history of the founding of Sol-Iletsk is symbolized by a memorial stone in the city center. The Iletsk Defense Fortress appeared here in 1754. It was named "Iletskaya" in honor of the Ilek River, which flows nearby, and "Protection" was the main task of the settlement founded here with a fortress erected nearby. It became the southern outpost of Orenburg to protect against the raids of nomadic tribes.
An invisible thread from the past to the present is the wooden church of St. George the Victorious, the Great Martyr, located near the Church of the Resurrection of Christ the Savior, founded in 1835, which was demolished in 1930. The author of the main icon of the Church of the Mother of God "Unexpected Joy", Priest Alexander Yezhov, studied painting with the blessing of the ever-memorable Bishop Leonty in the city of Dubna near Moscow. There are 5 bells in the small belfry of St. George's Church, weighing from 6 to 90 kg, they were cast from a special alloy by the master of the famous Russian bell factory Nikolai Pyatkov from the city of Kamensk-Uralsky.
The memorial complex was installed in Sol-Iletsk in 1985 to mark the 40th anniversary of the Victory. The authors of the monument are sculptor Yakub Alibalaevich Imraev from St. Petersburg and architect Viktor Petrovich Konovalov, a native of Sol-Iletsk. Grateful residents of the Sol-Iletsky district collected more than 70 thousand rubles for the construction of the complex. On the back of the pedestal is a message from veterans of the 196th Red Banner Youth Division in 2017. Today, the memorial complex is one of the main attractions of Sol–Iletsk and a symbol of the memory of those who gave their lives for the prosperity of our Motherland.
